Riot Rentals is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples we collect include:

  • Names and Addresses

  • Email addresses and Phone numbers

  • Identification (e.g., Driver’s License details) required for security bonds

     

3. Why We Collect It

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of:

  • Processing your hire bookings for karaoke machines and board games.

  • Verifying your identity for the protection of our equipment.

  • Managing security bonds and processing refunds.

  • Marketing (only where you have opted in).
     

4. Sensitive Information

Sensitive information, such as criminal records or health information, will be used by us only for the primary purpose for which it was obtained (e.g., verifying eligibility for hire) or where required by law.

 

5. Security and Storage

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss. Most Personal Information is stored in client files which are kept for a minimum of 7 years to comply with Australian tax and business record-keeping laws.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed to third parties only where:

  • You consent to the use or disclosure.

  • It is required for debt collection purposes if hire fees or damage costs are unpaid.

  • Required or authorised by law.

     

7. Access and Quality

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you to update or correct it. Riot Rentals will not charge a fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your info.
